Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

• Account information — your email address, name, and company details you provide when you sign up or update your profile.
• Authentication data — if you sign in with Google or LinkedIn, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from those services. We do not receive your password.
• Usage data — which pages you visit, which products you search for, and how often you use the platform. This helps us improve the product.
• Payment information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe processes your payment. We do not store your credit card number.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Produce Trade IQ platform
• To send you important updates about the service (not marketing spam)
• To improve the product based on how people actually use it
• To respond to your questions and support requests

Data Storage

Your data is stored on cloud infrastructure in the United States, including Supabase (authentication and user profiles), Railway.app (trade data database), and Vercel (website hosting). We use industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit and at rest.

Third-Party Services

• Google OAuth — for sign-in. Google shares your name, email, and profile picture with us.
• LinkedIn OAuth — for sign-in. LinkedIn shares your name, email, and profile picture with us.
• Stripe — for payment processing on paid plans. Stripe handles all credit card data.
• Claude AI (Anthropic) — we use Anthropic's Claude API to generate AI-powered company intelligence summaries. When you request an AI summary, the company name and associated trade data (shipment counts, product types, trading partners, ports) is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. No personal user data is included in these requests.

Data Retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days. Anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics.

Private Photo-Based Digital QC Report

Information We Collect for QC Reports

If you use the Private Photo-Based Digital QC Report feature, you may submit photographs of produce, lot information, commodity details, container counts, sampled or photographed quantities, temperature, origin, brand or markings, notes, and other information related to a produce lot.

This information is used to generate a private, non-official, photo-based QC opinion and internal triage report.

How We Use QC Report Information

We use QC Report information to: generate the requested Private Photo-Based Digital QC Report; process the submitted photographs and lot context through our AI service provider; display the generated report to you; allow you to download the generated PDF; enforce the required click-through acceptance before report generation; maintain security, abuse prevention, and system reliability.

No Storage of QC Report Content by Produce Trade IQ

Produce Trade IQ does not store the submitted QC photos, submitted lot data, generated report text, Photo-Based QC Score, PTIQ Visual Grade, Internal QC Recommendation, or generated PDF after the Report is delivered to the user.

The Report is generated on demand and delivered to the user. Produce Trade IQ does not retain a copy of the Report content and cannot later retrieve, verify, authenticate, reproduce, reissue, or attest to a generated Report or the inputs used to create it.

You are solely responsible for downloading and retaining your own copy of any Report.

Limited Operational Records

Although Produce Trade IQ does not store QC Report content after delivery, limited operational records may exist, including: server request logs, such as method, path, IP address, and timestamp; authentication logs, such as user ID and timestamp; click-through acceptance records, such as user ID, timestamp, and terms version accepted; generic analytics events showing that a page was viewed; security, abuse-prevention, and system-performance records; payment and subscription records processed through our payment provider.

These operational records are not intended to include submitted photos, lot data, report text, QC score, visual grade, internal recommendation, or generated PDF content.

Analytics

We may use analytics tools, including Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel, to understand general page usage. We do not intentionally send submitted QC photos, lot information, report text, QC scores, visual grades, internal recommendations, generated PDF content, or other QC Report content to analytics providers.

AI Processing by Anthropic

We use Anthropic's Claude API to process submitted QC photos and lot context and to generate the Private Photo-Based Digital QC Report.

When you use the QC Report feature, the submitted photographs, lot information, and related context are transmitted to Anthropic for processing. Anthropic's processing and retention of API inputs and outputs are governed by Anthropic's applicable commercial/API terms and data-retention policies.

As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, we understand that Anthropic does not use standard API inputs and outputs for model training without permission, and that API inputs and outputs may be retained temporarily under Anthropic's standard API retention policies. Content flagged by Anthropic's safety or abuse systems may be retained for a longer period under Anthropic's policies. We do not currently have a Zero-Data-Retention arrangement with Anthropic for this feature.

If Anthropic's policies change or if Produce Trade IQ enters into a different data-retention arrangement with Anthropic, we may update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

Click-Through Acceptance Records

Before generating a Private Photo-Based Digital QC Report, you must accept the applicable QC Report terms and acknowledgment. We retain a record of that acceptance, including your user ID, timestamp, and the terms version accepted. This acceptance record does not include the submitted photos, lot data, generated report text, QC score, visual grade, internal recommendation, or generated PDF.

Data Retention for QC Report Feature

QC Report content is not retained by Produce Trade IQ after delivery of the generated Report. Limited operational, authentication, analytics, security, payment, and click-through acceptance records may be retained for business, legal, security, and compliance purposes.

If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal account information as described in this Privacy Policy. Some operational, payment, security, legal, or acceptance records may be retained where necessary for legitimate business, legal, security, accounting, or compliance purposes.

Your Rights

You can access, update, or delete your personal data at any time. To request a copy of your data or to delete your account, email us at contact us. We will respond within 7 business days.

Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication only — to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to know — you can request a copy of the personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months.
• Right to delete — you can request that we delete the personal information we have collected about you.
• Right to opt out of sale — we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
• Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
